Support for HHS Cybersecurity Performance Goals

Healthcare has long been a highly sought-after target for state-sponsored and other cyber actors due to its potential to cause disruption and financial gain. As technology advances in the healthcare industry, there is an increased risk of cyber attacks that could compromise patient data and disrupt critical operations. Recognizing the crucial need to minimize these areas of risk exposure, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has created voluntary healthcare-specific Cybersecurity Performance Goals (CPGs) to help healthcare organizations prioritize implementing high-impact cybersecurity practices.

These CPGs are a voluntary subset of cybersecurity practices that healthcare organizations, particularly healthcare delivery organizations, can prioritize to strengthen cyber preparedness, improve cyber resiliency, and ultimately protect patient health information and safety.

How Cylera Helps Organizations Meet CPG Goals

Cylera provides the easiest, most accurate, and extensible platform for healthcare IoT intelligence and security platform to optimize care delivery, service availability, and cyber defenses across diverse connected medical devices and infrastructure.

The Cylera platform improves asset visibility, reduces  cyber risk, and strengthens threat detection and response. The Cylera platform also closely aligns with many of the CPG  Essential and Ehnaced goals, making it uniquely suitable for healthcare organizations planning to align with the CPGs to strengthen their cyber preparedeness, improve cyber resiliency, and ulimately better protect patient health information and patient care delivery.

For example, healthcare delivery organizations can use the Cylera platform to efficiently and effectively meet the following HHS CPGs:

  • Asset Inventory
  • Known Vulnerability Mitigation
  • Incident Planning and Preparedness
  • Vendor/Supplier Cybersecurity Requirements
  • Third Party Vulnerability Discloser
  • Third Party Incident Reporting
  • Threat Detection and Response
  • Network Segmentation
  • Configuration Management
