Timur Ozekcin Recognized in Top 50 Healthcare Technology CEOs of 2022

The Healthcare Technology Report has announced the 2022 winners, and this year’s list comprises a wide array of some of the most accomplished executives in the healthcare technology industry. They have led their firms to advance and revolutionize healthcare, spearheading innovations in patient experience and software platforms, medical devices, therapeutics, and in other technology areas such as IoT and medical device (IoMT) cybersecurity, powered by Cylera.
The Healthcare Technology Report added that the 2022 awardees not only oversee their companies’ operations, but nearly half either founded or co-founded the company they lead. Many are professors, or board members of associations and other companies advancing the healthtech field, or generous philanthropists and have also impacted the broader global community through efforts beyond just their organizations. They come from a variety of backgrounds and have wide-ranging professional histories, but they share at least one thing in common: they have all led their company to new heights through their dedication, ingenuity, and commitment to both their employees and their customers.
Mr. Ozekcin leads Cylera through the ever-changing healthcare industry to deliver advanced technologies to its global healthcare clients. The company was co-founded in 2017 by Ozekcin as CEO, and Paul Bakoyionnis as Chief Technology Officer, and Sean Abraham as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Cylera, Ozekcin was the co-founder of a medical device and technology startup, Heuristics Health. Additionally, he worked for a non-profit consortium funded by the Department of Homeland Security, focused on the safety and security of medical devices within healthcare organizations. Ozekcin holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering, and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and a Master’s in Public Health focusing on Healthcare Policy from Columbia University.
